Sweet memories from the 20/20 conference

This weekend was incredibly sweet. My church in Clemson brought 67 students to the 20/20 conference at SEBTS. For the second year in a row my church here in North Carolina hosted them in our gym. Thank goodness we were able to find a shower trailer this year instead of having to send them all over to different homes! I was a little concerned but the trailer was clean and had 10 showers in it! How wonderful! During Friday night and Saturday afternoon we attended sessions and Friday night we all went over to Triangle Town Center to have fun and eat dinner. After that everyone came back to Bay Leaf to hang out. It was such a joy to laugh with Jason, Heath, Jenna and so many others about life and about different memories.

I am also incredibly thankful for the sweet moments where I was able to sit down with someone and catch up on their lives. The Lord is always so faithful to provide that. I always expect to see everyone and enjoy them. But I try and prepare myself for the fact that I most likely will not get any "quality time" and it will be very rushed. However, the Lord had other plans. I was able to have wonderful "driving time" with Jenna and hear about all that God has and is doing in Clemson, I was able to catch up and have a wonderful and LONG conversation with sweet Anna Grace ... God is doing so much on her heart and it is incredible to see. I got to talk with Tara, which is ALWAYS a blessing! I was also able to talk with several other girls and hear about graduation plans, post-graduation "options," and their journeys. And of course it was special to catch up with Heath and hear about his semester so far. Crosspoint is a wonderful church that provides such discipleship and challenging, gospel centered teaching. I was so reminded of that through my conversations with all the students. I was also incredibly impressed with the new students I met and with their thankful hearts.

Sunday was such a special day. It was incredible to stand there in worship. I felt SO blessed as I stood among old friends from college and my new friends from this season in Wake Forest. I was reminded of sweet memories and moments along the way. What a blessing to see those two worlds come together. I am so thankful for my Father and for His provision.

I wonder if Heaven will feel a little like this past weekend. We'll be with those that we love forever. We'll be standing next to believers from every season of life. We'll worship together, all of us.
